Accessibility at Podigee

We want you to be able to use Podigee with a disability. This page explains available features, known limitations, and how to get help.

Our service

Podigee helps you host, publish, and measure your podcasts. Our website explains our features and prices. In the web app, you can create an account, choose a subscription, and manage your podcasts. Listeners can play published episodes on podcast websites and in the web player.

Available features

  • The login and registration forms have labeled fields. In our spot-check, assistive technology could identify these labels. The fields we checked were reachable with the Tab key and had a visible focus indicator.
  • The player we checked has named controls for play, pause, and skip forward or back. We could use the keyboard to skip forward.
  • When an episode has a transcript, you can read it through More → Transcript in the player. Availability and quality depend on the episode.

Known limitations

Some parts of Podigee are not yet accessible. Our spot-check identified these limitations:

  • Some decorative icons and links lack clear or appropriate labels for screen readers.
  • Player controls can appear in English on a German podcast website.
  • The player timeline we checked was not accessible as a keyboard slider. The skip buttons provide an alternative.
  • Automatic transcripts can contain errors. Not every episode has a transcript.

These findings come from a limited check of our German website, login and registration pages, and one podcast website with a player in Chrome. We inspected the information available to assistive technology and tried selected keyboard functions. This was not a full screen-reader audit or a certification of accessibility.
