Frequently asked questions about the Podigee MCP Server
What is the Podigee MCP Server?
The Podigee MCP Server opens Podigee's feature set to AI assistants like Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini and many others. You run publishing, distribution, repurposing and analytics right in the chat, without clicking through the dashboard.
What is an MCP server?
MCP stands for Model Context Protocol, an open standard that connects AI assistants to external programs. Think of a universal plug: connect once, use it in every compatible assistant. From a single assistant you can run Podigee and other tools that offer an MCP server.
Which AI assistants are supported?
Any AI assistant that supports MCP, for example Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini and many others. Once connected, you use the Podigee MCP Server in every compatible assistant.
Does the AI create my podcast for me?
No – your podcast stays your podcast. You record and edit the way you always have. The AI assistant handles the work around it: it publishes episodes, maintains show notes, analyzes your numbers and turns your episodes into blog articles or social posts. The AI operates your podcast tool for you, rather than replacing your podcast.
How do I set up the Podigee MCP Server?
You connect your AI assistant to your Podigee account once, done in a few minutes. You'll find a step-by-step guide in our Knowledge Base, and technical details in the official GitHub repository.
Can the AI accidentally publish or delete something?
You stay in control: your AI assistant shows you what it's about to do in Podigee before every action, and asks for your confirmation on far-reaching steps. You decide which permissions the access has through your Podigee account.
Is it GDPR-compliant? What data does my AI assistant see?
Your podcast stays on Podigee's EU servers, GDPR-compliant as before. The AI assistant only gets access to the account data it needs for your request – and you decide which assistant you connect. Please note: your AI provider's privacy terms apply to the processing of your chat inputs.
What does the Podigee MCP Server cost?
During the beta the MCP Server is free. All you need is a Podigee account. We'll let all waitlist members know about pricing after the beta in good time.
