Secure for
your IT
Only people you invite can open the podcast website and the feed. These points help you in conversations with IT, data protection, and employee representatives.
Individual access per person
Every invited person gets their own login and a personal feed URL. The website, player, and feed only open with this access.
End access at any time
Deactivating blocks a person's feed URL and login. You can activate the access again later or remove the person completely.
Passwords with a minimum length
Listeners sign in with their email address and a password of at least eight characters. A reset link is valid for 14 days.
Blocked from directories
Podigee blocks the feed from podcast directories. Anyone who opens the podcast website without access lands on the sign-in page.
Data processing agreement included
Every paid plan comes with a data processing agreement. You create it right in your account, with your company details, signed electronically.

What is a private podcast?
A private podcast is a show with restricted access. You invite listeners. Each person gets their own access to the podcast website and a personal feed URL for compatible podcast apps. The access protection covers the whole show with all episodes.
How do I invite my team?
Open your show's settings and the section for private access. Make the show private and invite one or more people by email. You can add a personal message. The people you invite set up their own password.
What happens when someone leaves the team?
You can deactivate or remove the personal access. This ends access to the protected feed and the podcast website. Files that were already downloaded stay on the device. A private podcast is not copy protection.
Which podcast apps can my team use?
Your team listens on the podcast website or adds the personal feed in an app that supports private RSS feeds. For Spotify, there is Spotify Open Access: for this, you need a partner ID from Spotify's Open Access program. We work out the setup with you.
Which plan do I need for private podcasts?
In the current plans, private podcasts are available from SCALE. Listener limits depend on the plan. Older or individually agreed plans keep their own terms. You find the current overview on the pricing page.
What can I see about usage?
In Analytics, you see downloads and aggregated numbers on listeners and subscribers, for the whole show and for individual episodes. There is no report on which person listened to which episode. You find the list of your listeners with their access status in the settings.

Only invited people can open the podcast website and the feed. Each person has their own password and a personal feed URL that you can deactivate at any time. Podigee blocks the feed from podcast directories. Episodes that were already downloaded stay on the listeners' devices.
Do I get a data processing agreement?
Yes. Every paid plan comes with a data processing agreement. You create it right in your account, with your company details, signed electronically. For Enterprise plans, our sales team sends you the IT security sheet for your review.
Can I invite many listeners at once?
Yes. You paste a list of email addresses, and Podigee sends the invitations in one go and removes duplicate addresses. For large teams, you add listeners from your own system through the REST API. How many listeners are possible depends on your plan.
Does a private podcast appear on Spotify or Apple Podcasts?
It does not appear in the public directories. Podigee blocks the feed from them, and you cannot submit it there. Your listeners add their personal feed themselves in a compatible app. For Spotify, there is also Spotify Open Access.
