Will my files ever be deleted?
Your episodes stay online until you remove them or cancel your plan. We operate under GDPR, so everything follows strict retention policies.

Professionals and contract producers as demanding customers are in very good hands with us. Contract producers are those who create and manage podcasts for others. If your company has very specific needs, contact us atpro@podigee.com.
Marketing and communications departments at large enterprises feel right at home with Podigee.
To meet the high demands of these customers, we recommend the "Business Pro" package level, which makes it possible to apply personalized branding to the podcast (website, player). PDF reports are also available and can be sent by email.
Each month, you start fresh with a new time allotment. The available audio hours vary depending on the package level.
At Podigee, we don't measure usage based on the amount of megabytes consumed - which is too abstract a figure for most people.
Instead, we measure the hours (or minutes) of audio used. At Podigee, uploading an audio file doesn't cost anything in principle. Only when an episode is published is the time allotment used.
A podcast or podcast format (also known as a podcast series or show) consists of an unlimited number of episodes. Each podcast always has its own RSS feed.
*: 25,000 episodes are included at no cost. Each additional episode is charged at 0.01 € (1 Euro cent).
Teams are welcome at Podigee. It is possible to allow other people to collaborate on a podcast. Here's how it works: the package is tied to a main account that you use to perform critical actions such as creating or deleting a podcast, as well as manage your account in general. With the main account, you can create invitations for team members to edit a podcast and automatically send them an appropriate email.
It may happen that you need one or two additional audio hours in a particular month. So that you don't have to immediately upgrade to the next level, you can occasionally purchase individual hours.
If you already have one (or more) podcasts that you would like to move to Podigee, we will be happy to help you do so without losing any existing subscribers if possible. All we need is the RSS feed of your current podcast. The import can take up to one day depending on how much content you have, but usually it's only a few hours. After the migration, you will receive instructions from us on how to redirect the old feed to the Podigee feed. Your hour allotment is not used during the import!
All our podcasts come with an optional, simple website (also known as a podcast blog) under the domain podigee.io. This website is always automatically synchronized with the podcast information and new episodes are published there in the form of blog posts. Our Podigee Podcast Player and the Subscription Hub are also integral parts of every podcast website.
At Podigee, every podcast comes with its own simple website. This makes getting started with podcasting much easier, but many podcasters prefer to use their own website. Instead of using our simple website, you can configure Podigee so that all links and posts always point to your website. Together with the Podigee Podcast Player, you can make your podcast directly playable on your website.
The "Scheduled Publication" feature allows you to set episodes to go live automatically at a specific time. This saves you time and ensures your episodes are published exactly when you want.
Once you publish a new episode, and the Twitter or Facebook links are active, a new post will be published with your specified text and a link to the episode.
Since 2016, Spotify has offered its own podcast directory, which is very popular among Spotify subscribers. At Podigee, as an official Spotify partner, we bring your podcast to Spotify without a submission process and without a long waiting period.
Unlike with other hosts, all podcasts registered on Spotify via Podigee are delivered with "Spotify Passthrough." That means your content isn't hosted on Spotify's own servers, but is served directly from us to the Spotify audience. This is more reliable, especially for podcasts with dynamic advertising, and also ensures that plays through Spotify are not severely delayed in your statistics.
Since 2020, Podigee has enabled direct submission of your podcast to Amazon Music. Place your podcast with all its episodes on the platform and expand your audience.
Improve your reach by publishing your podcast on YouTube as well. Your audio file will automatically be converted into a YouTube-compatible video and uploaded to your YouTube channel. Everything is automatic and requires no effort from you.
Create an audiogram for your podcast episodes with just a few clicks: these handy video snippets combine a short excerpt from your episode with an image (such as your podcast's cover image) and a "dancing" waveform. The result is a short video that is not only a real eye-catcher, but also ideal for giving a preview of your episode on social networks... and you can do it all directly from the episode settings in your Podigee account!
With the Intro & Outro feature, we give you the opportunity to add a dynamic intro / outro to your episodes.
That means no tedious insertion or updating of episodes if your intro or outro has been revised. Simply replace it everywhere automatically with just one click.
This opens up a whole new range of promotional opportunities! For example, it's quick and easy to promote an upcoming event (webinar, event, or product launch) or spread important information “everywhere.”
The Podigee Podcast Player is a modern web player optimized for playing podcasts on websites. The player has a very wide range of features and also works flawlessly on mobile devices such as iPhones and Android smartphones. More information about the player can be found here: Podigee Podcast Player.
Chapter marks make it possible to label an episode's topics with a timestamp, making it quick to navigate between topics. In addition to the Podigee Podcast Player, most podcast clients also support chapter marks.
Many podcasters record their podcasts in multiple tracks. This has various advantages, such as targeted volume optimization. At Podigee, you can easily upload each track of your multi-track recordings separately.
In the basic statistics, you will find downloads per podcast and per episode. Downloads refer to the sum of completed and streaming downloads. A completed download is one that was retrieved from start to finish by the listener. A streaming download is one that was not listened to in full, but rather downloaded piece by piece ("streamed").
In the advanced statistics, you will find everything that is in the basic statistics. In addition, the statistics provide a fine-grained breakdown of downloads by categories such as file formats, download sources, platforms, and podcast clients.
On a map, you will also find downloads per country:
In the Advanced Statistics, you will find everything that is included in the Basic Statistics. In addition, the statistics provide a fine-grained breakdown of downloads into categories such as file formats, download sources, platforms, and podcast clients.
With Catalog Analytics you can compare and analyze all the data from your podcasts, collected in one central location. With just a few clicks, you can choose whether you want an overview of all podcasts or only those you select.
You can optionally enable AI-generated transcriptions for your podcast. Every time you create a new episode, once encoding is complete, a transcript of the content will be created using AI tools.
Machine-generated transcriptions are not perfect, but they are an order of magnitude cheaper than transcriptions from specialized companies.
We also offer a transcript editor so you can correct the text later. For example, the transcription is displayed in the Podigee Podcast Player and is even searchable there. You can also display the transcription on your website to improve your podcast’s SEO.
All of our customers enjoy our world-class customer support. You are never alone if you have a problem. Our support team members are experts who deal with podcasting on a daily basis for many years. You can reach us by email or chat (once you have a user account, a red support button appears at the bottom right allowing you to contact us). We’re also happy to advise you on general podcast questions.
Our premium or business support is an addition to our standard offer. If you have high support requirements or if multiple people in your team use Podigee, we recommend choosing the Professional package. This allows us to sustainably provide you with the fastest possible support. Premium Support customers enjoy priority in the processing of support cases. Phone consultations (by appointment) are also possible.
If you produce a lot of content, chances are you will want to reuse many elements. The ability to clone podcasts and copy data from one episode to another significantly boosts your productivity.
Podcast networks group several of your podcasts under one umbrella. A podcast network always has its own feed and its own website where all associated podcast episodes appear. Podcast networks are especially suitable for podcast labels and publishers where brand recognition is very important.
Advanced podcasters can use our publishing interface (REST+JSON) to automate their own workflows with Podigee. Using the Publish-API, you can both read and write your podcast data. You can create podcasts, upload and encode audio files, and retrieve all metadata. Almost everything you can do in the interface with a click can also be done with the Publish-API.
More and more companies are using private podcasts to distribute relevant company information to their employees.
Further education is also a very good use case for internal podcast distribution. Podigee offers a complete solution including password protection and access management for this.
Unlike other hosts, all podcasts registered with Spotify via Podigee are delivered with "Spotify Passthrough." This means your content is not hosted on Spotify's own servers but is served directly from us to the Spotify audience. This is more reliable, especially for podcasts with dynamic advertising, and also ensures that plays via Spotify are not heavily delayed in your statistics.
Manage your podcasts right from your smartphone—monitor analytics, edit episodes, and even publish new content directly with our mobile app, ensuring you stay connected wherever you are.
We fully embrace the latest Podcasting 2.0 standards. This includes support for enhanced RSS tags—such as transcripts, chapters, trailers, and season numbers—ensuring better discoverability and a richer listener experience.
Beyond basic or advanced statistics, we offer real-time, branded “Listener Insights” to help you deeply understand audience behavior—from episode drop-off points to listening patterns—so you can fine-tune your podcast strategy.
In addition to Spotify Passthrough, Podigee lets you configure your podcast for Spotify Open Access. This is ideal if you want to offer subscription-based content directly through Spotify, enhancing monetization and audience engagement options.
